Notice to Owner of Intention to Claim a Construction Lien

A Notice of Intent to Lien is a prerequisite to filing a lien. A Notice of Intent to Lien must be sent ten days before filing a lien. A Lien has a deadline of 90 days from last furnishing labor and/or materials. In order not to miss any deadlines, you must allow sufficient time between the Intent to Lien and Lien. For Example, if your last day on the job is June 15th, you have until September 13th to send the Lien, so your Intent to Lien must be sent by September 3rd.
